Brooch - Skull and Flowers

This brooch is hand crafted by me. I use 3d printing filaments which are heated, melted and extruded through a very hot pen. TPU filament is flexible and very strong. I love the transparent quality. PLA which is hard and durable, holds shape when I need a more solid structure. The 3d pen allows me to hand draw with plastic, creating beautiful dimensional organic shapes. I create the elements separately and then weld them together using a soldering tool. I draw on different surfaces to create curves and bowl shapes then peel it off to assemble. It's quite fascinating drawing in a 3d dimensional form. It has opened up many possibilities.

Each piece has accents of metallic liquid foiling.

The finished product is lightweight and durable.
